Partnership Classes
Looking for something a little more in-depth? Our partnership classes give your group the opportunity to learn ASL together over several weeks!
Our partnership classes bring the Queer ASL learning experience directly to your workplace, organization, or community!
We offer eight-week ASL courses and four-week mini-series, giving participants the opportunity to build their signing skills through ongoing lessons, conversations, and interactive activities.
Our ASL 101 course is a great starting point for beginners. Participants will explore fingerspelling, introductions, identities, likes and dislikes, everyday conversations, and foundational ASL grammar. Deaf Culture, history, and community are also woven throughout the learning experience.
For groups with previous ASL experience, we can explore higher-level courses or tailor the learning experience to specific interests and communication needs.
Unlike our one-time workshops, partnership classes follow a voice-off immersion approach, without ASL–English interpretation. This gives participants the opportunity to learn and communicate directly in ASL, with guidance and support from their Deaf instructor.
Format: Eight-week course or four-week mini-series
Levels: ASL 101 and above
Delivery: Online, with in-person options depending on location
Language: Voice-off ASL immersion
