50 ASL Sentences: I watched Harry Potter last night. It was so good!
Usually we don’t learn time signs until ASL 102 but here’s a nice little sneak peek!
We always place time signs at the beginning of a sentence. See how Amar establishes time by raising his eyebrows while signing LAST NIGHT at the beginning. Then at the end he emphasizes how good the movie was by widening his eyes, slightly nodding, and puffing his cheeks. Many people who are learning ASL want to add English words such as “really” or “very” but in ASL we add emphasis to our face and signs instead.
